Google Adwords Fundamental Exam – Exam Tips

Here are few of the key pointers that would enhance your success :

1) Study the resources at Google Adwords Learning Center. Nothing else, both online and offline, can help you more than these resources. Certainly not the blogs, or any question banks or forums which discuss about the Google Adwords exams. Click through all the video reels in the Adwords Study Center and take all the quizzes.

2) Once you get your fundamentals right, do not read many posts on discussion forums and get confused. Most of them proclaim to have cracked the exam with only 16 hours of study . Even Google, in its post-exam feedback survey, has a question like “How many hours did you spent in preparing for Google Adwords Fundamentals Exam?” where all choices seem to suggest that more than 25 hours of preparation is a must.

Honestly, most average people spend 10 days, preparing for 4 hours a day. That’s about 40 hours minimum, despite running campaigns on a regular basis. The take-home here is you can spend 10 hours or as much as 100 hours while preparing for the Google adwords exam on the study center. It really doesn’t matter if you have to spend more hours than your peers. What matters, however, is cracking the exam.

3) Taking printouts of all the sections and neatly organizing them on your desk. Opening another computer and logging into your Google Adwords account. Downloading the entire study section and doing a ctrl+f for every question. These will help you passing the exam only if you have prepared adequately for the exam. Questions on the Google Adwords Exam have the phrases/words changed so if you cut copy paste looking for the answers you’ll spend more time than is allocated for a question. Furthermore, after you crack the exam you are going to spend a lot of your clients’ marketing money. So it’s good you pass the exam on your own merit.

You can crack the exam with external aids (most likely to happen with inadequate preparation) and cheat your client later or you crack the exam on merit and provide a good value proposition to your client. What you do is totally up to you. But we would recommend the latter!

4) Keep on an eye on the timer and come back to a question if you are undecided about the exam. Google Adwords Exam interface is designed brilliantly for the same purpose. You have 113 questions to answer and 3 hours of time to answer them.
Time per Question = 180/113 = 1 min 35secs.
which is comfortable to employ any stealth methods you have mastered since childhood .
