Google Adwords Review Extension/Seller Rating Extension

Please note that this new adwords review extension is not the old reviews extension where you link your ads with Seller ratings and show these rating alongside your ad. Seller Rating explained in an image below…

In these ads Google showing star rating for the merchants they managed to get on third-party sites like www.reviewcenter.com and www.trustpilot.com. Google have some sort of agreement with these site. You just need to collect reviews from your buyers on these sites and Google will show them with your ads. Review Center is free while Trust Pilot is paid.
You may have noticed that this was aggregate rating for a merchant shown with an ad while the new adwords review extension let you show words of review directly in the ad with an option to link third-party site where your review was published.

You can submit either a direct quote or a summary of a key point from a review, as shown above.
It’s important, both for you and for users, that the reviews provided be high-quality:
  • Content displayed in review extensions must come from a reputable 3rd party source, and must comply with standard AdWords policies.
  • It’s your responsibility to ensure that you’re allowed to use a specific review in your ads.
  • To protect users and other businesses from deceptive claims, we use automated and human-based systems to confirm the validity and policy compliance of all review extensions.
Currently, review extensions are available globally in English only.  Please stay tuned for updates as we expand to other languages.  We’re looking for more advertisers to participate and soon we’ll be adding support for review extensions in the AdWords interface. Pros:

- It will force merchants to provide best service available to get positive reviews on external sites to be shown with Ads
- It will improve CTR and Conversion rates.

 Cons:

- Charges on some reviews site will increase Adwords cost.
- It may can trigger some black hatters to offer fake reviews.
- New businesses will face difficulties to combat established businesses in ad format.
